About Darnel Alexander
Darnel Alexander is a seasoned R&B artist hailing from Seattle, WA, recognized for his soulful songwriting and captivating performances. With a career spanning over 30 years, Darnel's music resonates with audiences not only across the U.S. but also
internationally.
His journey began with the group 3rd Level, where he honed his vocal talents through performances at local talent shows and nightclubs. During this time, he collaborated with other notable artists, including contributing to Sir Mix-a-Lot's
compilation album Seattle… The Dark Side.
Darnel later became a member of an R&B quartet 2nd Nature, a group that included David Booker, Leland Allen, and Jason Turner. Their collective success led to a Billboard Hot 100 single in 1995, and a music video featured on BET’s Midnight Love.
The group’s acclaim also brought them to the iconic Apollo Theater. Over the years, Darnel has recorded radio jingles for the nationally syndicated Delilah show and Sunday night slow jams with R-Dub along with urban radio stations across the country. Darnel also had the pleasure to have shared the stage with legendary artists such as Queen Latifah, James Brown, Mint Condition, Boys II Men and Patti LaBelle, further cementing his legacy in the R&B world.
Since then, Darnel has released multiple albums on iTunes and Spotify and as of late Darnel has become an viral internet sensation by performing Luther Vandross covers on TikTok and Instagram. With an ever-increasing audience Darnel has taken this show on the road to share his gifts with the nation and beyond.
